| The problem is that the field on the Box Number Creator only allows a number (dash cannot be used). What you need to do is create the boxes using the number field as you have tried, and use the prefix modifier to add the "-1", then the "-2". Clunky, but Simon does not anticipate the type of situation you are trying to conjure. |

| By limitations, I mean, can't use hyphens, can only take a 4 digit number, etc. |

Thanks Gary! The first scenario was what I had in mind, however, I get a message "The value you entered is not a valid entry for the field". For example, you may have entered text in a numeric field, or a number that is larger than the field size permits. Can you give me an idea of what the limitations are on the box number fields? |

Tough one, Jan. There are two ways you can do this, though neither are exactly what you need. 1) You can set up a bunch of boxes from 434-1 through 434-60 (or more) and fill these people in as individual boxholders, maybe setting up a fee structure specific to this clients. 2) You can set these clients up as 'other mail recipients', but you will not be able to use the 434-1 through 434-55 scheme that you have derived. |

I have a mailbox holder that represents a bunch of clients, each for a period of time, and will be receiving legal process mail for them. Here is what I am trying to do: Main mailbox customer is PMB 434. I want to add each client to his box as 434-1= Client A, 434-2= Client B, etc. Is there a way to do this? He currently has 55 of these clients, so using an alphabetical suffix did not work. |

salmat, just for your information, the best way to protect your data is to: 1) Keep your Simon application up to date with the latest revision. 2) Use the Simon backup tool to make occasional backups of your data. Glad you got your machine up and running. |

Thank you very much for your quick answer. Fortunately for me, my mishap was a couple of corrupted Windows boot files and they got fixed. Simon and all the data are back and operational. I got lucky this time. |

salmat, Our programs are more difficult to install on Vista and Windows 7 machines, and sometimes they won't install at all. There are settings on these platforms where you can install in XP compatibility mode and some of our clients have been able to get our programs installed using this mode. Some, on the other hand, did not have issues at all, and some could not get our software installed at all. So, I am not much help on this front. I would suspect that if you were to get the Windows 7 64 bit, you will not be able to get Simon installed at all. Whatever you try to do to get Simon installed on another machine, just be sure to protect your Simon data files. After you get Simon installed, you might want to call ...
